These are my first few cards I've made using the Creator.  I tried to balance their converted Mana costs to their effects and Strength / Toughness (where applicable), as well as choosing picture art that had a distinct MtG 'feel.'  Critique welcomed, enjoy the Enraged Phantoms of Blackgate.

Material Breakdown Flavor Text:  We weren't aware of the spell until it was cast upon Roderik, who we saw suddenly become very still as if under hypnosis.  With a rough slap, Jamison attempted to knock our companion out of his trance, but what resulted was horrifying - Roderik's body became twisted, collapsing and folding in on itself in unnatural ways.  What was once our friend had become a swirled, red mass of flesh, bone, and metal, its mouth flapping vainly in an attempt to scream.

Maybe one more mana on the enchantment? I don't know why, but 5 mana doesn't really seem like enough.

The Blackgate Leviathan seems like it would annoy the fuck out of your opponents. Awesome.

Rather than increasing its initial casting cost, I lowered it by one and added a RRT requirement to activate its effect on a single target rather than every Enraged Phantom in play, though the effect remains permanent.  Still, that increases the total overall mana cost of using the card to 6 instead of 5.

Yeah, making it annoying was the general idea.  It basically overruns defenses while destroying additional permanents equal to its X casting cost, and each time it destroys a blocker you get a dead Enraged Phantom back to your hand.

Also - two new cards: A planeswalker, and a creature.

I really like the themes and interesting effects a lot of these cards have but I see a few problems.

First the land is quite overpowered, and I assume the ability is meant to search for a swamp or mountain? But just tapping for 2 mana on turn one and being a dual land that enters untapped under no conditions is ridiculously good, without having free mana fixing.

The enchantment that gives your guys haste seems very underpowered considering, Fervor is a 3 cost enchantment that gives all of your creatures haste not just one specific creature type. Maybe give it something to buff your Enraged Phantoms as well.

Kankrellaij might be able to be a 3/3.

Material Breakdown is good, I just think it is more in the Rare range not Mythic.

The Defender seems to go against the overall playstyle considering it can't attack. But other than that it's a very good defender.

The Blackgate Leviathan is my favorite. It is absolutely brutal. But I think the wording should be. "Whenever ~ destroys a creature as a result of Combat Damage, you may return an Enraged Phantom creature card from your Graveyard to your hand." (I could be wrong)

The artifact is a really cool way to cycle your creatures and lands, and basically ensures you will always have creatures to play. Might be Mythic.

The Planeswalker seems pretty balanced, IMO.

The last card is interesting... placing the minus 1 counters on it seems relatively unnecessary, as I don't see it surviving much combat with 2 toughness anyway. Also I believe Vigilance is more of a White ability, probably not for Black/Red. Could just give it Haste instead, and make it a 6/2. 5 cost 6/2 Haste seems pretty good for a common, IMO.

One big thing I also noticed is that you say "Bury" on most of the cards instead of "Destroy". I don't know if you did it on purpose or if you just like the older wording of Magic Cards, or if i'm totally in the dark and Bury actually means something different than Destroy. But having only played Magic for about a year and a half I feel like the wording could be cleaned up a little bit. (It's no big deal though)

Overall I really like your cards here. :)

Excellent feedback sir, will get back to you with the edits in the future.  I see what you mean on the Haste thing there, sort of like what I did with Tohguht - too little for too much.  I'll probably beef that one up a bit.  Blackgate Leviathan is meant to be worded that way, so that its Annihilator ability doesn't trigger it and it's restricted to destroying blockers for the purposes of the effect.

I might beef Kankrellaij up to a 3/2, but due to its 'tap target creature' effect I don't think its toughness should be terribly high seeing as activating the effect doesn't require a tap.

Burstflesh Golem... I see what you mean.  It only has two toughness.  I might increase its strength to either six or five, take away vigilance, and maybe give it a mana-pay ability for gaining Haste or some other keyword that fits the theme.  Maybe Regenerate or Undying.

Yep', Lohkain is balanced.  Made damn sure of that.

Eeeeehhhhh I'm stuck in the 90's, y'know, Sixth and back.  Most of my cards are relics from the stoneage of Magic, so I like the old wording a lot more than the new stuff.  PERSONAL PREFERENCE, huzzah.  It'll ALWAYS be 'bury' for me.

EDIT:  As a Wall, Deep of Blackgate is SUPPOSED to have Defender.  I basically made it to be a significantly improved version of Shifting Wall, which has what is basically the same effect but is unable to block multiple attackers at once.  As a Defender, it's damn good, considering each turn you can give it +X/+X permanently.

Wizards usually avoids making enchantments tap.  Just an FYI.  Make the enchantment buff as well.  If its so targeted on creature types, its not overpowered.  Cards do not exist in a vacuum, but in a set with lots of other creature types.  In limited, that enchantment would be a low pick forsure.

Most multi colored cards are golden so that players don't get confused of what type it is, so for the half mountain half swamp, you should probably make the card gold instead of all black.
