You never really see any legendary artifacts on this site that are balanced. So the goal of this is to see who can create the best and most well balanced artifact you can come up with. The only rules i have are: Make it balanced, must be R&D material and age appropriate. Well i guess that is it. If I like the card you create i will give you a shout out. Good luck!

Holy cow, really nice job on that one Sertar, just one or two errors, but very awesome execution, and completely realistic!

(I'll make my artifact and update this post with it soon)

Suspend X — {2/W}{G/U}, Discard X cards.
If Void Monolith is suspended, you may remove a time counter from it: Counter target activated or triggered ability, except this ability. Then put a null counter on Void Monolith. Any player may activate this ability. (Mana abilities can't be targeted.)

{T}, Remove a null counter from Void Monolith: Exile target permanent.
If Void Monolith has no null counters on it, exile it.
Null counters remain on Void Monolith as it moves to any zone other than a player's hand or library.

Text provided as the font is tiny on the image. Note that the third and fourth abilities apply only while it's on the battlefield.

Well: (I am counting shroud as an ability for purpose of ordering just to let you know)

1.) his second ability should read "Mechnir, The Scrap Defender's" to show ownership. also it should say: "artifact creatureS" because it is multiple, that's just english grammar.

2.) third ability should read "Whenever Mechnir attacks or blocks,  put two -1/-1 counters from it at the end of combat." when a legendary creature mentions itself twice, it simplifies its name, and they always refer to themselves as "it"

3.) the fourth ability is a tricky fix for oracles rules text here is my best attempt: "Whenever an artifact card is put into a graveyard from play, if that artifact was destroyed or otherwise removed from the battlefield by an ability or spell an opponent controls, put a +1/+1 counter on Mechnir."

And wonderfully... flavorful flavor text you have there.

EDIT: No, I was not saying shroud was an error, I was saying how I was ordering them so you could understand which abilities I am talking about when I say "Second" or "Third"

And I was just using capital s for emphasis, you don't need capitals on the card itself. The name shouldn't change, just add the s where I showed you because thats how english works. (Confusing, right?)

Here is my take on a legendary artefact I wanted it to be both strong AND flavourful for what it is but not a standard Totally overpowered as to be considered insane artefact. Instead I wanted an artefact that embodied both the power of an artefact with the direction towards a white theme and it came out as this flavour intensive monstrosity here. It has all the weaknesses of an artefact and a creature but works towards the greater good.

Here is another legendary artefact I created with the intention to create a more independent artefact than my walking fortress in that walking fortress is intended to be used in a solely white deck whereas this card can help any deck win. Well here is the land eating worm himself:

This seemed like a cool idea, and so I threw this together, it's sort of a combination of Archetypes and equipment, The concept screamed Mirrodin to me, and a legendary artifact for Mirrodin Pure popped into my head and thus The Prevailer's Fortitude was born, behold.
