Aldridge is the home of the mighty armies of the West, an entirely human nation it is one of the most formidable forces on the planet. The humans within are practitioners of green, red, and white mana. The use of others is seen as taboo. As a society there is a huge emphasis on cooperation: working together to overcome a before insurmountable foe. Their champion of is Tybalt of Aldridge.

Elenvale is located in the east and is home to the Grand Domain, a large cathedral where a militant order of monks resides and combats demons, vampires, and ocassionaly vampires. They exemplify unity: each working together to bolster their strength, even at cost to themselves. They are championed by Anduin Angelblade.

Castle Selvald is located far to the North and is home to a mad scientist and his creations. The people of this area have grown used to Selvald's monsters and either join in the mad doctor's work, or are forcefully conscripted. The champion of these repressed people is the egomaniacal Selvald, Master of Experiments, much to their dismay.

Delvan's Rest is a huge sprawling crypt in the southern portion of the plane where a dark curse has taken root, cast by Delvan himself, and caused the sun to never shine. Humans are very rarely ever found in this region as it firmly belongs to the dead, dying, or the never having lived. They are championed by Delvan who believes that he is protector of the undead, having been shunned by the living.

Champions: As mentioned earlier each region of Talderan has a champion, a protector that fiercly combats any threat to their ways of life.

Tybalt of Aldridge is a staunch hearted knight who acts as a father to his men and treats them as his own son. In combat his presence bolsters even the weakest ember to a fierce flame. He and Anduin have a long standing peace treaty between their two nations as they have similar ideals.

Anduin Angelblade is a human cleric of Seldred, The Devoted, he is head cleric of Elenvale and constantly strives to improve the lives of his charges, though the object of his devotion has never been seen he is steadfast in his beliefs and counsels the rest of his friends to continue their faiths and let fate guide them to where they are supposed to be. He does have the support of numerous angels, none of which are forthcoming about Seldred's whereabouts.

Delvan was once the chancellor of Aldridge, but was betrayed and disgraced by his king, as a result his restless spirit has returned from the dead and occupied his former kingdom in the south. Delvan is a primarily black creature, but has elements of red and blue, primarily his chaotic neutral allignment and his powerful sorcery. His true nature shines through in his powers of persuasion however and his ability to sway others is his defining characteristic.

Selvald is an egomaniacl scientist who believes the whole world, or at least his kingdom, is one huge test subject and to that end will do whatever he desires in 'seeking the greater good', and while he began with noble causes he has since become warped with the promise of untold powers. His blue nature is highlighted with black's amorality and his initial purpose was for the greater good, a very white ideal.

Draggar The Evolutionist is the main antagonist of the story and presents a threat in his constant pursuit of eldritch powers. His black nature drives him further away from society as he develops new powers at any cost, while his red nature is highlighted with impulsive actions. Finally his total faith in the idea that only the most powerful should survive is reinforced by the concepts of green mana while ignoring the principle of natural selection: he will do anything to ensure he survives.

Dallin Manaheart is a planeswalker who has settled into the society in Elenvale and quite enjoys it, similar to Elspeth's place on bant, considering it a second home after the loss of his first. Dallin as a person often comes into conflict with Anduin and his blind devotion to an unseen force, but the two enjoy a healthy respect for each other, if not agreement on issues. He is a planeswalker well versed in the arcane, things man was not meant to know, and how to counteract it. He eventually comes to the realization that someone is triffling with powers beyond their control and sets out to stop them...

The other lands were the original concepts for the previously listed legendary lands which used to be {C}{1} where C was the dominant color.

Oh god that's the only thing that got me to, i just looked at one of them and like that's counter spell and it's cheaper. (Crawled in under my table to hide from the control players)

 

But first of all the lands are stunning the exalted one might be a bit on the overpower side but still love it i mean Sublime Angel do the same for one mana more right?

 

Also the other cards great care in wording, that's really good!

Btw you said you started this as some short story can you put the beggining or something like that i realy like to know the lore behind the cards.

I really hoped the cards would attempt to tell the story a little bit, like you could extrapolate from them, I'll have to work on that aspect, I can't exactly write the story yet seeing as I'm still thinking out the world (my favourite part), but what I can tell you is the following:

 

• Seldred isn't out of the picture completely.
• Dallin will be getting a revamp to integrate him more fully into the story proper.
• Draggar will get a promotion and power update to main antagonist in a way that involves the other champions

• There will be a special event deck (sort of!) for the climax of the story similar to Theros
• Each champion has a spell that hints at their involvement in the story. (Angelic Assistance, Selvald's Declaration, Delvan's Declaration, Proclamation of Protection)

You see, I haven't actually decided on the theme for the plane yet, I know the story, I know the characters and such, I just don't know the plane, ya know?
