Basically, who the hell cares? Because the YouTubers don't get paid for one video when their other videos make enough for them to live in the starlight?

It's far from living in the starlight. If you don't have 20 billion subs, you won't make an absurd ammount of money. Just imagine you worked one day but your didn't pay you for that day. It's about the same thing.
