Don't put your name into the Illustrator's collumn then.

The card itself is just meh. Wizards dropped the shadow mechanic some time ago, because it was just not versatile enough to compete with flying or straightforward unblockable. Making a card, to reverse the mistakes in Shadows design is just unnecessary.

It was some slate mistake but i will be careful next time.

They didn't drop shadow because it was outplayed, they dropped shadow because they realized it's not the kind of thing you can just add in every other set- for example, imagine a few years from now, there is a new ability called {x} and creatures without it can't block it, and they stopped printing flying, therefore, flying would become more powerful, but also more obsolete. So really, evasion tactics like this really just encourage more consuming of magic cards- as if wizards didn't have enough money already.

You can't imagine how outdated of a mechanic shadow was. It just didn't age well with the game both increasing the strength of creatures and the mana cost of instant and sorcery spells. Creatures HAVE to be able to block. Shadow created this weird spot within your decks you had to fill. Just imagine they kept shadow within the game; You'd have to put more removal or a consistent amount of creatures able to block shadow for you into your decks.

It was just neither fun to play against or design cards, so they scrapped it to focus more on other evasion like flying or intimidate.

They won't stop printing flying. It's a consistent theme within the game by now, like trample or haste etc.

The point was to use flying as an archetype for a general conversation, but yet, flying is most likely to stay BECAUSE of the immense amount of flying that exists, and btw I win many games witihout blocking anything, in fact, shadow rogues+control can make a valid deck, not that I don't see your point there.
