Just wanted to make a Human creatures that can be turned to black by using black manas. Either way, is it better to have them white at first, or should I keep them black for the sake of easier casting?

 

And I know that First Strike is kinda whitish but I wanted to give it to this Knight, full art rocks. Anyway any comment is appreciated.
