Technically, Commander is a casual format, so.

Yes, you the player get experience counters. Yes, these counters can be proliferated. This will be a recurring theme for each new commander in this set.

 

I'm excited about what the other commanders will give experience for.

If the counter would be on the creature this card would be meh at best but now that its on the player where talking this card is fun  and inovative im exited to see the others.
