Zombie/Necromancer Mill Set 1/4

Hey all!

 

I wanted this set to be about my favorite tribe: Zombies!  Now they have gained the magic of regeneration, and are stronger that ever with their demon leader!  There was supposed to be a few more cards in the set, but they were artifacts and lands.  I'll pop em out right here:

 

Necromancer's Stronghold

Land

Necromancer's Stronghold enters the battlefield tapped unless you control a Zombie.

{tap} Add [B] to your mana pool

{tap} Sacrifice Necromancers Stronghold; Add [BB], [BU], or [UU] to your mana pool.  Regenerate up to 2 Zombies you control.

 

Spawning Grounds

Land

Spawning Grounds enters the battlefield tapped.

{tap} Add [B] to your mana pool.

{3}{tap} Put a 2/2 Zombie creature token onto the battlefield tapped.

 

Shrine of Xephalid

Land

{tap} Add [B] to your mana pool.

{tap} Sacrifice a Zombie; add [BB], [BU], or [UU] to your mana pool.

 

Necromancer's Lair {4}

Artifact

Whenever a Zombie enters the battlefield under your control, target player puts the top card of his or her library into his or her graveyard.

{1}{tap}: Regenerate target Zombie

{1}{b}{u}{tap}: Sacrifice Necromancer's Lair; Put target creature from a graveyard onto the battlefield tapped under your control.

 

Necromancer's Staff {3}

Artifact

If equipped creature is a Zombie, it gets +2/+2 and gains deathtouch.

If equipped creature is a Human, it gains "{1}{b} Sacrifice a Zombie; put a Zombie from your graveyard onto the battlefield.

Equip {3}

Note: Typo on Horrifying Undead: It enters the battlefield tapped.

Nice job on these, they do suit zombies quite well, my only question: why didn't you post them as cards?

Fixed.

 

Also, they were lands and artifacts, and I tried other Mtg Cardmakers but none did a good job making those cards.

I dont get why the first card enters the battlefield untapped

What do you mean? It enters the battlefield tapped, not untapped.

snap spawn is a bit undercosted, one black mana for a 2/2 with flash is a bit cheap to be honest.

What do you mean? It enters the battlefield tapped, not untapped.

I mean the first "real" card the zombi black card the first on the left and i agree with chaos snap spawn is really undercosted with a little combo with soullest escort you can have two creature ready to go for 1 mana at turn 1.

Ah that. (it wasn't loading those when I looked (I have to go right now, I'll give more detailed feedback later)

I put a note underneath saying that it was a typo

On Snap Summon, I saw the art and I wanted to make a card.  Making a restriction, such as exile a creature card from a graveyard, would make it the card Vile Rebirth, and making it {1}{b} would make it underpowered.  In the next portion of the set, I'll nerf it, most likely changing the name from Snap Summon to Reckless Summoning and making it "You lose 2 life." or something of the sorts.

maybe make you lose life for this card would be a interresting way or to discard a creature card from your hand.

Typo on End of Choas: It should be destroy all nontoken creatures.

Soulless Escort+ Necromancers Lair

Underworld Ascension+ Soulles Escort

Necromancer's Wish+ Xephalid's Scout

Necromancers Wish+ Zombie Festival

Underworld Ascension+ Spawning Ground+ Vagrant Initiate

Blood Worshiper+ Vagrant Initiate

End of Choas+ Tirae (as his ability goes onto the stack and resolves)
