Fascinating.
If you combo this with a Furnace of Rath effect you get one fearsome blocker. If you slam a Blasphemous Act, someone's going to take a whole lot of pain.
The tricky bit is that the regeneration shield goes up after the damage is dealt. So you need to do one instance of nonlethal noncombat damage to Kagami to get the regeneration train going on. If the first hit is lethal, it dies as a state-based action before the regeneration can set in.

In fact, I intended pinger creatures to be used for this purpose, but forgot to change that one bit of the text left over from the first idea I had.
"Whenever Kagami is dealt damage by a noncreature source, regenerate it." → "Whenever Kagami is dealt noncombat damage, regenerate it."
