Most of the time, if something kills creatures and leaves another, usually weaker creature behind, it's blue. Doesn't matter what colour the token is.

 

If it kills noncreatures and leaves (usually green) creatures behind, it's green.

 

If it kills/exiles creatures and leaves spirits behind, it's white and/or black.

 

If the creature's just very, very dead, it's red and/or black.

Or white sometime (with a drawback of course).

I mean I've only been playing MTG for 3 years, but it feels like the color goes by-card, I mean you would just naturally expect something that gives them spirits to be white or black, because that's a spirit-ish color, and then when a demon is being brought up, you'd think black. Really, I'd imagine it's not too big a color-stretch to make any replacement.

 

This is the last post I'll make on the subject to avoid flooding this thread with a rant about color synergy XD

This is my first card post on this site as well.

 

I noted how everyone was talking about color affinities with this particular card effect, and I thought up of a way to explain the instant typing on the card.

 

It's an izzet experiment gone wrong!
