Hey guys I spent an hour and a half on this in paint yesterday and I was wondering, does it look realistic to you guys? If not could you give some suggestions? By the way I know the bottom text isn't right, I did make a version with it but forgot to save.

You trying to counterfeit? That's a multi-thousand dollar card we're talking about, better off just making it for the newer format cards.

I'm not going to sell it to anyone, theres no one in my area that would buy and I know better than that, I was just looking to see if it looked like the real thing.

this is not a contribution to this forum, it is a violation of copy right laws. 

 

edit:

for clarification, i do not believe you made either the art or the card in paint. 

in fact it looks like the only thing you did in paint was remove the artist information.

Once again, I have the one with the artist info, I made the text in paint and the borders, of course not the art and seriously ban? Im not doing anything illegal and yes, the artist info is not on there, it's a custom border. Therefor it isn't the same card and can't be a copyright infringement.

For what it's worth, I guess the card looks similar to a real card, but if all you replaced was the border and rules text, I don't know why you'd make a fake anyway. Just to have updated Oracle text? Then you wouldn't need to replace the border and lose the artist credit, which is important sometimes. If you really want the custom border, why make it look like a real card? I guess my point is I don't understand why you're even doing it, let alone asking if it looks good.

 

That being said, I'm not sure it's worth trying to ban someone over, either. It's not actually copyright infringement unless he tries to sell it, which isn't the goal since it's being posted on a forum for peer review. He would have to be attempting to sell it as a real card to break the law.

 

Oh, and PS, this forum is for original cards that are entirely user-created, so this topic shouldn't be here. It would make more sense in the Magic Artwork forum.
